“Tragedy Strikes: NYC ‘Rampage’ Leaves 4 Fatally Stabbed, Including 2 Children, and 2 Officers Injured”

In a tragic incident that unfolded in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of Queens, New York City, at least four people, including two children aged 11 and 12, were fatally stabbed in what authorities describe as a “rampage.”

The violence occurred early Sunday when a suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Courtney Gordon, allegedly set fire to a residence’s couch and attacked responding police officers with a kitchen knife. Two officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the confrontation.

The chaos unfolded as officers responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic violence incident. Despite the injuries, one officer, a 28-year veteran, managed to use his weapon, fatally shooting the suspect and preventing further harm. Tragically, the victims included an 11-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman, and a man in his 30s. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation, with authorities indicating a familial connection between the suspect and the victims.

The injured officers were praised for their bravery and quick response in a highly volatile situation. The incident serves as a somber reminder of the unpredictable nature of police work and the devastating impact of domestic violence on families.
